Copy, paste and rotate
Draw a detail once and use it again — without the measurements changing.

Select what you want to copy
Pick Select (“Markera”) and click what you have drawn. The row in Drawn and measured (“Ritat och mätt”) lights up at the same time, so you can see you got the right thing.

Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V
Copy with Ctrl+C and paste with Ctrl+V. The copy lands just beside the original and is already selected, so you can move it straight away.
Worth knowing. Ctrl+D does both in one press. Press Ctrl+V several times and every copy lands a little further away, not on top of the last one.

Move the copy where it belongs
The arrow keys nudge the selection a bit at a time. Hold Shift and drag and you move it with the mouse.

Rotate by dragging a corner
Around the selection is a dashed box with a handle in each corner. Drag a handle and the thing turns about the centre of the box.
Worth knowing. Hold Shift while you drag and the rotation locks to even 15°. On the keyboard, R turns a quarter turn and Shift+R 15° at a time.

Know that the measurements do not change
A copy is an exact copy and a rotation is rigid. Lengths, areas and counts come out exactly the same — the only thing that changes is where the thing sits and which way it points.

Undo in one step
Ctrl+Z removes the whole paste or the whole rotation in one go, not point by point.
